margaritas

Fiesta Time

The origins of margaritas are hotly debated, but almost every historian agrees that the delicious cocktail made of tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, and salt on the rim of the glass was first concocted sometime in the 1930s. Most people also agree that the name was inspired by a woman, but who exactly that woman was is almost as debated as who created the first confirmed margarita. On August 17, you have the opportunity to celebrate the popular drink at the Margarita Bar Crawl/Festival presented by Power Plant Live! Throughout the festival, which runs from 2-8 pm, you will be treated to over twenty different types of margaritas. Plus, there will be plenty of delicious taco selections that will pair perfectly with your favorite beverage. The Margarita Bar Crawl/Festival is only about a mile from Hotel Indigo, so you can easily walk to the event and enjoy the weather.
