Frequently Asked Questions


Parking is available in the municipal garage located at 15 West Franklin Street, directly across the street from the Hotel Indigo.  The garage charges $9 for up to three hours, $11 for up to 12 hours, and $13 for overnight parking Sunday – Thursday and $5 on Friday and Saturday.  You can either pay the garage directly, or you can bring your chip to the front desk for validation and that charge will be placed on your hotel room bill.  The garage can accommodate vehicles up to 6’5” and operates Sunday – Thursday 6am – 10pm, Friday 6am – 12midnight and Saturday from 8am – 12midnight.  If you plan on arriving after these posted hours, simply contact the front desk and we will grant access to the garage.

Check-In & Check-Out

Check in time is any time after 4:00pm

Check-out time is any time before 11:00am

You must be at least 18 years of age, have a photo ID which must match the name on the reservation and the name on the credit card to check into the hotel.  Cash is accepted as payment; however, a valid credit card is still required.

Transportation to/from BWI Airport

Hotel Indigo does not provide transportation.

BWI Taxi – this will cost about $45 each way.  It is the most reliable and quickest.  Taxi stand at the airport in the ground transportation area always has cabs available.  Direct from the Airport to the Hotel. 

Super Shuttle has a couple options as well.  You can do a less expensive Shared Ride Van or a Non-Stop Van, SUV or Sedan.  Prices vary and reservations can be made on this link:  http://www.supershuttle.com/locations/baltimorebwi

The least expensive ($1.65), but most time-consuming way is Light Rail, above ground train.  http://www.bwiairport.com/en/travel/ground-transportation/trans/lightrail  You can get the train from the airport and take it to the Center Street stop and walk from the stop to the hotel.  This is about a 50-minute trip.

Hotel Indigo is located about one mile north of the Inner Harbor.  There is a complimentary shuttle, run by the city, that can take you to/from the Inner Harbor for free, as well as to Johns Hopkins University.  Visit http://www.charmcitycirculator.com/route/purple

Cancellation Policy

Our standard cancellation policy for non-prepaid reservation is by 4pm 2-days (48 hours) prior to arrival, local hotel time.  If you’ve purchased and advance purchase reservation this reservation is non-refundable if cancelled.  Other cancellation policies may apply depending on the terms and conditions associated with that rate plan.

Wheelchair Accessible

Hotel Indigo has an accessible ramp located on the west side of the building.  This entrance is accessible 24-hours per day.  We also offer 24-hour door service for anyone seeking assistance.

Smoking Policy

Hotel Indigo Baltimore Downtown is a Smoke-Free Hotel.  Smoking is prohibited within 25’ of any entrance, per Maryland State Law. A $250 room recovery/cleaning fee will be charged to any guest that violates the no smoking policy.

Food & Beverage Policy

Hotel Indigo provides catering through our restaurant, Poets Modern Cocktails & Eats.  All alcoholic beverages must be purchased and consumed on property.  You may not purchase alcohol and bring it onto hotel property per Maryland State Law.  Alcohol will only be sold from 6:30am – 1:45am at the latest.  State law prohibits the sale and consumption of alcohol between 2:00am – 6:00am.  You must be 21 or older to consume alcoholic beverages.

Pet Policy

Hotel Indigo welcomes our furriest family members. There is a $25 per night, cleaning fee charged to your account.  Guests must sign a pet policy upon check-in.  Guests must be available via cell phone in the event their company causes any disruptions while in the hotel.  The Howard’s Park Dog Park is just a couple blocks from the hotel, which allows off leash playtime with other local dogs.

WIFI & Business Center

Wireless internet is complimentary.  One must log onto the IHGConnect network and follow the instructions for logging onto WIFI.  A business center is provided 24-hours per day.  Unstaffed center includes two MAC computers with standard office supplies.  Printing option from wireless devices connected to the IHGConnect Network or from either MAC computer.

Hotel Honey Bees

Hotel Indigo is registered with the Maryland Department of Agricultural as we house three Honey Bee Colonies.  The bees are located on the inter 3rd floor roof and are available for guest view from interior 4th floor rooms.  The honey is collected and sold seasonally in our Grab-n-Go marketplace, where other local items are sold.

Health & Fitness and Swimming Pool

Hotel Indigo does NOT have a pool.  We do offer a 24-hour Fitness Center.  Cardio and weights are available for use.  If you have a physical routine that you’d like to maintain, please visit Downtown Athletic Club ( https://merrittclubs.com/locations/downtown-club/ ) or Brick Bodies Downtown ( http://www.brickbodies.com/our-locations/downtown/ ) for swimming and enhanced fitness options.  Advise you are a guest at Hotel Indigo for a possible discount.
