Baltimore Museum of Art

Art is on the Agenda

The Baltimore Museum of Art (BMA) is a must see for art lovers of all kinds. The museum is perhaps best known for having the largest collection of works by the legendary Henri Matisse, over 1000 pieces. However, that is just one of the many highlights of this amazing museum located less than 10 minutes from the Hotel Indigo. BMA also houses masterpieces by Pablo Picasso, Paul Cezanne, and Vincent van Gogh. Of course, none of this would have been possible without the tireless efforts of the Cone sisters, Claribel and Etta, who collected much of the artwork while visiting Paris in the early 20th century. Additionally, BMA has a variety of temporary exhibitions like Black, White & Abstract: Callahan, Siskind, White which displays the photography of American masters Harry Callahan, Aaron Siskind, and Minor White. No matter your taste in art, the Baltimore Museum of Art has something that you are sure to love.
